How to describe

One of my best friends listened while I ranted about a guy and commented: "Well, Liz, why do you like him, if I do not see any respect in anything what he does? He plays with the children to get money, he arranges huge partys on other peoples cost and drinks while being in the building of the church. I have to be honest with you, I do not respect him at all."That got me thinking and wondering, if I am thinking about the guy only because even though he seems to be all nice and funny, somewhere underneath, he is a bad boy. On the other side, how do we describe a bad boy? Can a bad boy bring me happiness and brighten my day just by taking me out on Sunday night on a walk, even though we both have tests the next day?

And yeah, no pretty pictures this time. I decided that I am far too confused to think about pretty now.

Top 10 things to do when you are ill

As the tittle obviously shows, I have been ill now three days and starting to get a little bored. Now I really hope that I'm able to go to school tomorrow, although it has been a lot of things to do at home also. We'll see...

1. RELAX - the most important thing, you should do! Just take it easy, and you will feel better soon

2. DRINK - I definitely don't mean anything too strong...You must not forget to drink at least 2 liters water per day, because ill people need a lot of liquid, especially something warm like tea with honey (it's good to have some sugar on your tea, too).

3. EAT - Usually when I'm ill my appetite is zero, but it is important to eat, because the body needs so much energy when it is trying to clear out the illness. Fruits and berries contain a lot of vitamins and warm, soft food gives new energy to the patient. Beside all these 'healthy stuff' chocolate and sweets makes you feel better :)

4. LOOK TV - different programs, movies etc. takes your thoughts in a totally different world, and for a while it is possible to forget the bad, sick feeling.

5. READ - good books, magazines etc. --> same idea as looking at the TV

6. CONTACT WITH FRIENDS - A call, text message or e-mail can make your day better, when you can hear from somebody you love or somebody you haven't been in touch for a long time.

7. MASSAGE - Yes, indeed. Make a massage to yourself, and feel how the pain goes away from the shoulders. Relaxin, huh?

8. BE CREATIVE - paint, write poems or do just those things you always wanted to do, but never have time to do. Yesterday I made a small scab book and was just so proud of myself after finishing it!

9. DREAM -let the thoughts fly, travel around the world, think about warm summernights, mountains, blue see and the prince of your dreams. You can get  so much inspiration just by staring out of the window or looking old photos.

10. WORK - sounds totally stupid, but on the other and you finally have time to do all the un-done work on the computer, read for the next exam, write essays you should have already written one week ago and that kind of stuff. After the work you can finally feel relieved, because the stress is gone.

...with these tips get well soon!

Waiting for summer

Summer. Summer. Summer. The only thought in my mind right now.
Actually. The only thought in my mind since Friday, when I successfully screwed up my major test on chemistry. And now it's Sunday, I'm missing my BGF (best guy friend) because he decided to have a day with his little sister Annie and maybe because of that I have eaten too much sugar today. The most idiotic thing about this weekend- lack of sleep. Possibly to the list should also be added the fact that I am stressed about school.

Hope

Like many of us, I'm still very confused of these recently happenings in Japan. Luckily, I don't have any friends or family members there at the moment, but I feel so sad for all the people who have been injured, lost people they love or lived through these hard trials. However, all I can do is to keep hoping things will be better soon there.
The earthquake and tsunami messed the plans of one friend of mine. She was supposed to go for an exchange to Japan, and has been planning it about one year now. Yeah, her flight was supposed to live next week, too, but unfortunately SHE CAN'T LEAVE. Poor girl! But it is not a big deal, if we think about those suffering people there at the moment.
This might be a bit cliche to say it, but the world is just so unfair place.

Why?

Michael Jackson - They don't really care about us

There is something in the water, which makes me see the positive things now

I was supposed to write some sort of great, life changing text in here. Instead, I talked with my bgf (=best guy friend) for one and half hours and then of course had already forgotten what I wanted to write about.
Doesn't really matter, because I decided to do a short list. (a list maker from toe to hair)

So, here comes my Friday night list about things in general. No. Let's make everything more complicated and make me write four best things at this moment.

A great BGF I have nowadays. In a way, I think that he makes me see more positive and bright, which is kind of amazing since no one else seems to make me laugh every single time I talk with them in about three seconds. He's utterly a beautiful and wonderful person. Love him, very much (but in a friendly way)

It seems the storm is coming. I believe in kind of balance, so every time sun shines too long I think-there will be a storm somedays in here. I have no idea why, but when the storm actually comes and it gets freezing for a while, I gain the peace for a while. Just because things seem to be in balance again. Yeah, stupid, maybe.

I had to take photos for some official things. My plan: friday after school, go and do those photos, then go home before running with your parents on a important meeting with the designer. What happened: after school, I go with my friend to eat, since we both were so hungry, which forces us to stay at the restaurant for three hours. Then the brilliance of this idea makes us giggly for five minutes: let's go to Ben&Jerry's and eat three different ice creams each. And guess what- I came fifteen minutes too late for the meeting. Didn't get pictures nor the coming home thing done. Still feeling happy.

Disaster

...is the only word with that I can describe my weird situation now. And no, It not because of school, friends, boys or noodles and chicken wings I have eaten the whole week. Now you might think what opportunity is left anymore, but I bet there are millions of other reasons for a real disaster. Maybe tomorrow is a better day...

Ballet

What do you think nowadays when someone pronounces the word "ballet"? Probably Black Swan, as it is the most commonly famous ballet relating thing at this very moment. One could think also about small girls taking ballet classes and whirling in little pirouettes, or beautiful dresses and horrendous body control and strenght.

The Russian Ballet and altogether Russian Ballet history has been always .. how should I put this. In all their glory they have not forgotten about those who could not afford a ticket to go see ballet and so it is unusual for a Russian theatre (at least the old ones, no idea what they build nowadays) not to have a paradise gallery. Or galjorka, as the Russians call it. The prices for the places at the top of the theatre were cheep, so that practically every single person on the streets could afford it. A noble act, in my opinion.

The "noble act" of the Russian Ballet Theatre - The Bolshoi Theatre (meaning "the big theatre") of nowadays is the Live Stream of few ballets. For example, sending the ballet "Don Quixote" live for 480 cinemas all over the world. As I think about how full our cinema was, I can only imagine how many people were active watching the ballet. About the tickets- at our place costed not much, and this is supposed to be actually meaning something as we both, me and Ivon, are students.

The ballet was a success in every possible way. In my experience enjoying ballet (since I was five) this must be the most energetic and somehow most flirty. I absolutely enjoyed every second of the fabulous dancing. The techniques of the most famous ballerinas of the Bolshoi theatre proved to be famous for a reason, and a good one.

Oh, and I absolutely love this picture! :) Makes me smile and somehow.. nostalgic? Even though I visited the ballet studio only when a small child.

Saturday

A week after holidays in school, and I'm practically dying. No offense, teachers, but you can be such idiots sometimes. The most important exams in year right after the students have not been talking the language for one straight week, that is how my teachers decided to make us squirm in our chairs on Monday morning at nine am. I sat in my chair and thought of a wonderful breakfast that I had not eaten, and the lack of sleep I was in.
And with my love towards my parents and their friends, who welcomes any guests while there is no one to open the door, in the middle of the day? Seriously, I wonder sometimes how people grow up and still make such errors. Our guests had to wait until I ran from the city to open them the door and welcome them sweaty and tired. My mum explained afterwards to me: honey, I had to work and your father was not around, so the only to open the door and somehow to minimize the error was to call you and to make you leave your friend in the middle of the street. Okay, maybe not with those words, but..

While doing the three exams I had plenty time to think about things I wanted to do. I suffered from not having any music as a background, daydreaming (again) and dreaming about traveling with one great guy.

Black Swan

The movie, Black Swan, we were watching today with my friend, was quite confusing. I mean, it was extremely good, and I kind of liked it but it was agonizing, dark and weird, too. You simply can't compare it to a 'normal' thriller or drama. It is also possible to construe the whole movie in very different ways. The movie got together three Oscars, the best feature, best director and best cinematography.
However, the star actress of the movie was Natalie Portman. Natalie Portman herself tells to magazines, that her role in black and white swan were hard physically as well as psychically. I think she really deserves that Oscar with her ballerina-role, Nina!

At the moment Natalie Portman, 33 years old,  isn't making a new movie. She is happily pregnant to choreographer Benjamin Millepied, who she met during the production of Black Swan. In the Oscar gala she was simply shining and smiling all the time.

Spring is coming!

Surprise! This week, every single morning, when I have woken up it has been light. And it will be lighter and lighter every day, so it simply means that spring is finally coming here in the north, too. Today I was extremely happy about the sunshine, and I took a small day-walk in the fresh spring air. Finally, it is possible to use sunglasses and take spring clothes out of the closet.
I also think it is totally allowed to buy some new pieces of clothes for spring and summer, although I already have too many... Last sunday i went window-shopping with my mum. Well, it was supposed to be just window-shopping, but what can I do, when I find a sweet shirt that fits perfect to me (and it is very seldom when something fits to me!)? Oh yes, I bought it! Isn't it cute? ;-)

Then I found another pretty shirt for this summer that shows belly bottom, too, but unfortunately I haven't got picture from it. I actually recognized that there are so many that kind of shirts coming for the spring and summer 2011. Probably we all have already read the fashion of the season from some magazines, but this time I really love the must colours like beige, denim, white and other light colours. In the prints it can be seen quite much flowers again. Then I'm thinking, if I should by these chinos from H&M? - They cost just 19,95 €!

-Ivon

P.S. Sorry, for my silly grammar mistakes. The sun just gets me crazy!
